 | What is Flash? | Flash is multimedia software that allows cartoon animations, such as the animations in our greeting cards, to be available over the internet. It is a free program that is available for both PCs and Macs, as well as other computer systems such as Linux. Flash is developed and distributed by Adobe, one of the largest and most respected software companies in the world. | | What is Flash 9? | Like most software programs, Flash is frequently upgraded, and Adobe releases new versions of Flash every year or two. Flash is always backwards compatible, meaning that newer versions of Flash can view older animations, but the reverse is not true. If you have a version of Flash that is 8 or lower, you will not be able to view Flash 9 cards. | | Why did Birthday Alarm upgrade? | Flash 9 was introduced almost two years ago and statistics show that 99% of computers in the world have Flash 9 already installed. It enables a lot of great functionality, and so we decided the time was right to introduce it across our site. What that means is that you will be viewing a lot more sophisticated cards soon, including great games and video greetings! | | How much does Flash cost? | | Nothing. It is absolutely free and can be downloaded here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ | | Can i still view the site using older versions of Flash? | Unfortunately not, Flash 9 has been introduced across the entire library of BirthdayAlarm greetings. | | |
